David Gilmour
Creative Director
David Gilmour studied graphic design and packaging at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. After several years of working for top-tier marketing communication firms in the Bay Area, David started his own business. Early clients included Bianchi Bicycles, Birkenstock, Oracle, Siebel Systems, and the San Francisco Symphony. In January of 1996, along with Bill Craves, David started Gilmour Craves. Currently, David's primary focus is managing the Gilmour Craves creative and development team. His work has been recognized by Communication Arts, The Smithsonian Institute, The 100 Show, and The San Francisco Show.
- Hometown: La Canada Flintridge, CA
- Travel destination: Love Barcelona, but put me on a beach and I'm happy. Hanalei Kauai is about perfect.
- Hobbies: Family, hiking, and playing music in the Califuegos. Now streaming on iTunes and Spotify–not so subtle plug.
- Bucket list: Competitive go-cart racing, drive across the US-Northern and Southern routes–and related purchase another Airstream trailer... perhaps a Bambi.

Matt Browne
Art Director / Sr. Visual Designer
Matt Browne earned his graphic design degree at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Time spent at a variety of bay area firms such as CKS Partners and Pentagram has given him experience in multiple disciplines. Influences from photography, music and action sports add to the flavor he brings to the Gilmour Craves team. Matt is the design lead on various projects, taking them from concept to completion.

Joanne Walker
Production Manager & Designer
Joanne Walker brings over eleven years of print and digital production expertise to Gilmour Craves. Joanne holds a BS degree from San Jose University and has furthered her design and production skills in the Technical Arts and Graphics program at the College of San Mateo. As head of production, Joanne loves to help bring designs to life, but customers appreciate her exceptional attention to detail and ability to complete projects in a timely manner. Joanne spends her free time reading, hiking, hitting garage sales and hanging out with her family.
Kate Monroe
UX / Visual Designer
Kate Monroe is San Francisco-based designer and artist. Since graduating from Boston University with a BFA in Graphic Design, she has worked her way across the country, exercising her creative chops in industries ranging from educational and cultural institutions to start-ups and nonprofits. Kate brings the same curiosity and experimentation to design as is essential to her painting practice. When she's not working with us, Kate is most likely watching the latest horror movie in theaters, cracking NYT crossword puzzles, or exploring tide pools.
Paul Lyons
Senior Web Developer
Paul Lyons brings over 20 years of web development experience to Gilmour Craves. He has worked in a wide range of Content Management Systems, platforms and programming languages, developing custom solutions based on client needs. While Paul has a lot of experience in front-end development, he is also known to write a mean stored procedure every now and then. When he is not refining his programming design patterns, or creating a new responsive WordPress theme or plugin, Paul can be found at Trader Joe's looking for gluten-free bread.

Nathan Craves
Site Support Manager
Nathan has been involved with customer support services for over the past 18 years. He has managed a wide range of personnel from restaurant staff to IT professionals. While being a classically trained chef, he is also a self-professed “tech head”, always striving to learn about new technologies. Nathan spends his free time cooking gourmet meals, gaming, and spending time with his son and family.

Founding Partner
Bill Craves brings a background in strategic and multi-channel marketing to the firm. Prior to forming Gilmour Craves, Bill worked with Italy's Piaggio group, as CEO of Bianchi USA, to develop its bicycle presence in the United States, Canada and Pacific Rim. He was a key member of the international brand strategy team, serving as lead in the areas of new product development and corporate identity. Currently Bill works with Gilmour Craves clients to develop integrated marketing communications strategies.
